NAFOWA LC EXTENDS COURTESY VISIT TO NAFRC, SEEKS SUPPORT
The Nigerian Airforce Officers' Wives Association, Logistics Command, led by the Chairperson Mrs. Aishat AY Abdulahi, recently paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Air Vice Marshal Adeniyi Herbert Ameshinlola.
In her address, the Chairperson extended heartfelt congratulations to the Commandant on his well-deserved appointment. She described the purpose of their visit, aiming to brief the Commandant on the Association's responsibilities and to seek his valued support and guidance.
Highlighting the nationwide vision of the Association, Mrs. Aisha described their mission to complement their husbands' responsibilities by focusing on the education and empowerment of children, youths, and women through skill acquisition programmes.
Expressing gratitude for the Centre's consistent support, Mrs. Aisha further solicited the Commandant's assistance in completing the NAFOWA LC Secretariat, which will guarantee their meetings and facilitate the implementation of their duties.
In response, Air Vice Marshal Adeniyi Herbert Amesinlola conveyed appreciation for the visit, commending the association for their commendable efforts in alleviating the plight of widows, youth, children, and the less privileged in society. He acknowledged their pivotal role in empowering the youth and widows of personnel and neighboring communities.
The Commandant assured unwavering support and pledged continuous assistance to the association in achieving their mandates and stimulating their humanitarian endeavors for the less privileged, he however, urged officers to encourage their wives' participation in various associations, citing the potential for increased understanding of the ethical operations of the Armed Forces.
It should be noted that NAFOWA Logistics Command operates under the umbrella of NAFOWA, with the headquarters situated in Abuja, under the leadership of Arc. (Mrs) Rakiya Abubakar, the National President.
