Mixing of Chemicals

This wing encompasses three notable workshops under it, these workshops are the Printing Press, Fine Arts & Ceramics and Photo Studio (Photography).

Printing (Press) Workshop is saddled with the responsibility of printing all the printing works of the centre, training trainees who are interested in going into the printing line of business after retirement and also training individuals who have the passion to go into printing. Apart from training and printing, the workshop also does consultations.

Equipment such as Desktop computers, Kord Machine, 201 Machine, Cutting Machine and Direct Image (DI) Machine are made available for learning. Products of this workshop include Graphic Design, Letterheads, Invoice/Receipts, Business Card, Posters, Flyers, Wedding Invitation, Jotters, Calendars, Roll up Banner, Flex, Brochure, Exercise Books and Magazines.

Ceremic department teaches trainees entrepreneurial skill in ceramic manufacturing business like making of ceramic cups, jugs, mug plate, toilet accessories, floor tiles, roof tiles.

The statutory task and responsibilities of the ceramic workshop are as follows:

  • In line with ceramic curriculum and module specification trainees are given expert training in ceramic
  • To teach trainees to be entrepreneur of a ceramic manufacturing in three (3) months
  • Teach trainees the use of basic hand tools for making ceramic wares
  • Prepare trainees for the labor market
  • Prepare ceramic wares for exhibition in NAFRC or outside
  • Production of ceramic wares for NAFRC hall of fame

The ceramic workshop is a very big workshop with:

  • Ceramic gallery in this gallery ware produce by the workshop and trainees are exhibited
  • Clay bank where clay store and used for processing
  • Store where ceramic tools and materials are kept
  • Electric Kiln
  • Table for modeling and wedging
  • Four throwing wheels
  • Pug mill
  • Manual measuring scale

FOUNDRY WORKSHOP

NAFRC foundry workshop was established by the Centre to teach trainee’s household wares such as cooking pot, fruit extractors etc. The statutory task and responsibilities of the foundry workshop are as follows:

  • In line with foundry curriculum specifications trainees are taught how to make foundry wares.
  • Teach trainees to be expert in foundry production in three (3) months.
  • Prepare trainees for the competitive labour market.

The ceramic workshop is a very big workshop with:

  • Sand mould.
  • Manual furnace
  • Wooden box
  • Pattern box
  • Crucible pot
  • Thong

Photo Studio (Photography) is a workshop created to teach and tutor trainees, wards of personnel and other interested people in NAFRC community on photography and videography skills. In their duration of training, trainees will have a basic and in-depth knowledge on photography, videography, cinematography, script writing, photo editing, video editing and also the business aspect of photography in respect of this trainees would be exposed to laws, and principles guiding the business

The Photo Studio also contributes to the centre by Covering and capturing memorable events in NAFRC and environs and the studio also generates revenue for the Centre. Equipment used in the studio include:
Dslr Camera, Tripod, Lens, Trigger, Laptop, Software, Soft box, Speedlight, Strobe light and Storage cards
