Tailoring Workshop is a workshop that deals with the training of trainees in Fashion Design. In the course of their training, trainees learn how to design, sew, taking of measurement, cutting, fitting and finishing of garments. Trainees also learn on how to construct, alter, repair or modify garments for customers based on their specifications, needs and preference. At the end of the programme, trainees should be able to Operate all Sewing Machines, Know how to cut patterns and be able to initiate new ones, Joining and Ironing of Materials and most importantly manage a Small-Scale sewing institution.
Leather Workshop: In this workshop, an trainees are taught the rudiment of leather works, equipment used in measuring, cutting and shaping as well as spraying and finishing. Leather works taught to trainees ranges from shoes, bags, chairs and accessories (belts).
Laundry workshop: Trainees learn the manual and industrial ways of sorting, washing, drying, pressing and folding of clothes and other textile items. Trainees learn the manual and industrial ways of Trainees are taught how to operate and handle laundering machines and the types of chemicals used in laundry.
Weaving Workshop: Weaving workshop deals with the textile production in which two distinct sets of yarns or threads are interlaced at right angles to form a fabric or cloth. Knitting, crocheting, felting and braiding are also done in this workshop. In the weaving workshop, trainees are made to study the effects of materials and colours on different textile structures, the step by step processes of weaving, looms and industrial textile weaving.
