The Information Technology Department is the hub of ICT and other related activities in NAFRC. The department offers training and business ideas to trainees who intend to set up business in computer and ICT related fields after retirement.

Trainees who sign up to this department get to be equipped with the knowledge of how to operate and maintain the computer to enable them take up a career or setup their own businesses in computer related fields. With adequate knowledge and skills to enable them set up and manage their own business in any or the following: Networking, web design, Business Centre, Cyber Café, Computer Training Institute, Computer Hardware and Software development.

Info-Tech Department offer training and business ideas to trainees who intend to set up business in computer and ICT related fields after retirement. The department provides support in the use of information technology in order to meet NAFRC’s teaching and administrative needs.

Responsibilities

The departments offers the following:

  • It provides technical support to all NAFRC departments and computer users
  • Organization of computer training for trainees and staff of the centre in conjunction with consultants and vendors.
  • Initialization of computer procurement and standardization.
  • Supervision of software development and programme.
  • Building and maintaining the Centre’s website.
  • Maintenance of computer hardware, composed mainly of computers, laptops, projectors, printers, photocopiers, networks, networking equipment and CCTV systems.
  • Purchase, Configuration and Installation of computers and accessories in the centre.
