NAFRC Decorates Newly Promoted Senior Non-Commissioned Officers

In an event held at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Center (NAFRC) headquarters, 11 Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) were adorned with their new ranks following the recent promotions approved by Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja.

During the ceremony, the Commandant AVM AH Amesinlola expressed gratitude for the considerable number of personnel promotions, not only within the Nigerian Army but across other services. He commended the service chief for prioritizing the welfare of personnel and graciously approving these well-deserved promotions.

Encouraging the newly promoted SNCOs, AVM Ameshinlola urged them to serve as exemplary mentors, emphasizing their pivotal role in guiding and inspiring subordinates. He reminded them of their responsibility to uphold NAFRC's reputation and reciprocate the support and guidance they received on their journey to success.

Also highlighting their outstanding past performances, he noted that these promotions were a testament to their exceptional professionalism and discipline. He emphasized the importance of early retirement preparation, especially with accommodation, to avoid future challenges.

He further commended the spouses and family members of the promoted SNCOs, urging them to continue to provide the necessary support for success in their new roles.

Also present at the event, Deputy Commandant Major General EA Anaryu extended his best wishes to the newly promoted SNCOs, commending their spouses for their unwavering support and prayers. He encouraged them to apply their experience and commitment to their work, emphasizing that there's more to achieve beyond this promotion.

Similarly, Air Commodore DO Dickson, the Director of Administration, labeled the event as a significant milestone in the SNCOs' careers. Stressing the higher responsibilities ahead, he emphasized the need for diligence and commitment to prepare for further advancements in their careers. He added that hard work pays and that this shouldn't be the end of their pursuit but also aim to become Army warrant officers or utilize the option of the commissioning window opened to them.

Speaking on behalf of soldiers, MWO Felix Okiti expressed gratitude to the Commandant for recommending the promoted SNCOs for promotion. He emphasized the importance of maintaining a high level of commitment and discipline, recognizing the role of Master Warrant Officers as crucial bridges between commissioned and non-commissioned officers, he further urged them to go back to the book and learn what comes with their new rank.

Concluding the ceremony, MWO Ibrahim Abdu-Ganiyu, offering the vote of thanks, expressed gratitude for the safety of witnessing the event. He thanked the Commandant, directors, senior officers, servicemen, family, and friends for their presence, making the occasion truly special.
