NAFRCOWA paid Courtesy Visit to AVM Amesinlola, calls for continuous support.

NAFRCOWA Visits NAFRC

The coordinator of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resentment Center Officers Wives Association, Mrs Grace Amesinlola and her members paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Center, NAFRC, Air Vice Marshal Herbert Amesinlola and his working team after his assumption of office as the 40th Commandant of the institution.

During the visit, she noted that the purpose of their visit was to welcome the commandant as it is a norm and to appreciate them for their relentless support to them as well as the partnership with Lagos State to ensure peace and stability that in turn gives them a conducive and favourable environment to operate and become productive.

The Coordinator explained that on assumption 8her office, she has been able to facilitate and accomplished some projects for the NAFRCOWA Nursery and Primary school, such as; painting of the school building, repair and replacement of chairs and tables and others.

She reiterated the need to kick start an empowerment programme for women, youths and members of NAFRC community . According to her “the vision of NAFRCOWA is to start a skill acquisition programme to empower women and youths, purchase a machine for grinding maize since there is none in the barracks and also to carry out medical outreach in our host communities to foster a strong and a healthy relationship.”

“ For a project of this magnitude to be carried out, we want to appeal to the commandant for support and partnership to achieve this goal.” She added.

The coordinator further appreciated the directors for their support in their recently concluded speech and prize giving day held in the school , stating that her team would continue to work tirelessly to ensure that NAFRCOWA becomes a world class learning institution.

In response, the commandant AVM AH Amesinlola thanked the Coordinator and her members for their support and cooperation , he said their visit was a source of encouragement to them at this time, even as the organization has continue to play an important role in the efficiency of the armed forces.

The commandant urged them to continue supporting them despite their weakness as well as urged officers to encourage their wives to be part of the union as this would give them a sense of belonging and recognition.
