Songhai Farm Visits NAFRC
The founder of Songhai Farm Rev Fr(Prof) Godfrey Nzamujo located in Port Novo, Benin republic visits NAFRC commandant Air Vice Marshall A.H Amesinlola. In a meeting held with the Rev Fr Godfrey, Air Vice Marshall A. H Amesinlola, the deputy commandant Major General E.A Anarnyu, the directors and deputy directors, Rev Godfrey expressed his appreciation to the commandant talks about the collaboration between Songhai Farm and NAFRC that have been on for the past three years. He says Songhai farm is a narrative of the new African society where a different type of agriculture that exist can multifunction to provide food, jobs, reduce waste. He added that NAFRC upholds discipline where they produce great agricpreneur after retiring, encourages more to engage in agriculture.
NAFRC Commandant Air Vice Marshall A.H Amesinlola welcomes Rev Godfrey, says his visit to Songhai farm changed his perspective that there is hope for Nigeria, appreciates them for the food and job security. He talks about the one dollar shop in Washington where with one dollar you can eat. NAFRC plans to focus on agriculture next year, developing it requires technical support and they need assistance from Songhai farm. The commandant recounted his stay in Makurdi where he saw large amount of waste and encouraged modern ways of storing food to reduce waste. Motivated those interested to move to agriculture and other related aspects. Both parties signed an agreement, the Commandant presented a souvenir to Rev Godfrey.
