FOC NAVTRAC Strengthens Ties with NAFRC
Reinforcing established ties and fostering future cooperation, Flag Officer Commanding Naval Training Command (NAVTRAC), Rear Admiral IM Albara, paid a courtesy visit to the Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC) Air Vice Marshal AH Amesinlola, to strengthen the already established relationship and familiarize himself with the esteemed institution.
Rear Admiral Albara expressed his appreciation for the warm reception and provided an overview of the Naval Training Command's role within the Armed Forces.
He emphasized his commitment to collaborate with the Centre upon assuming his new position as FOC, aiming to ensure the continued excellence of the Armed Forces.
Air Vice Marshal Amesinlola extended a warm welcome to Rear Admiral Albara and offered his heartfelt congratulations him on his well-deserved appointment. He acknowledged Rear Admiral Albara's distinguished career and experience, particularly in human capacity development while he reiterated the Centre's openness to collaboration.
Additionally, he informed the FOC about the upcoming intensive vocational training programme designed to empower young individuals.
He stated that the programme will initially focus on training 64 youths for six weeks, thereafter, prioritize orphans of fallen heroes in the next training and ensure they are equipped with skills needed for a great future.
He added that, the selection process for the programme will be a collaborative effort by NAFRC and various military formations, emphasizing that, the Centre will extend nomination opportunities to his command, NAVTRAC to further solidify the spirit of cooperation.
Also, Major YB Yakubu provided a comprehensive overview of the Centre's organizational structure, roles, activities, and achievements, to enlighten the FOC and members of his team.
