ENHANCED PERSONNEL WELFARE FOR OPERATIONAL EFFICIENCY: NIGERIAN AIR FORCE AIR SECRETARY ENGAGES SERVING NAF PERSONNEL AT NAFRC

The Air Secretary, Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Air Vice Marshal Chidiebere Obinna Obiabaka, on 2 September 2026, engaged NAF personnel and participants of the Pre-Discharge Course 2/2026 during an interactive durbar at the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, Lagos.
The engagement provided an opportunity for the Air Secretary to brief personnel on current developments within the Service and interact with them on issues relating to their professional growth, welfare and career progression.
During his address, AVM Obiabaka highlighted key issues affecting the NAF, including personnel welfare, Air Power Orientation Courses, promotion of Air Warrant Officers and the need for enhanced training to improve personnel competence and operational capabilities.
The interactive session also featured discussions on the quality of education and other issues bothering around the growth of the NAF.
In his remarks during the Durbar, the Commandant expressed appreciation to the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, for his commitment to the welfare, training and development of NAF personnel. He also thanked the Air Secretary for the engagement and reaffirmed NAFRC's commitment to providing quality training and preparing personnel for their individual and collective responsibilities.
In his closing remarks, AVM Obiabaka commended the Commandant for his efforts in sustaining NAFRC as an institution of excellence in training and education.
