NAFRC, MUSHIN COUNCIL DEEPEN PARTNERSHIP FOR COMMUNITY SERVICE

Mushin LGA Visit

The Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ilo, has reaffirmed the Centre's commitment to strengthening its longstanding partnership with the Mushin Local Government Council during a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman of the Council, Honourable Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe.

Speaking during the visit, Air Vice Marshal Ilo gave a brief overview of the Establishment and mandate of the Centre, while expressing appreciation for the cordial relationship that has existed between NAFRC and the Mushin Local Government over the years. He assured the Chairman of the Centre's continued support in areas of mutual interest and called on the Council to encourage more youths to take advantage of the Centre's vocational training programmes.

The Commandant further disclosed that NAFRC is currently reviewing its curriculum in order to upgrade its technological training facilities so as to equip trainees with relevant skills for self-reliance and national development in line with global best practice. He further reaffirms the Centre's commitment to youth empowerment and community service. The Commandant thanked the President, Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff as well as the Service Chiefs for their continued support to the Centre.

In his remarks, the Executive Chairman of Mushin Local Government Area, Honourable Tunbosun Haruna Aruwe, commended the long standing and enduring partnership between the Council and NAFRC. He acknowledged the Centre's numerous contributions to the development of the local government, particularly in the areas of medical outreach services, security support, training of drivers, and the donation of healthcare facilities to the the Council.

Hon. Aruwe expressed appreciation for NAFRC's unwavering support over the years and wished Air Vice Marshal Ilo a successful and impactful tenure as the 42nd Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre. He expressed confidence that the cordial relationship between both institutions would continue to grow, yielding greater benefits for the people of Mushin and the wider community.
