ADMIRAL SUPERINTENDENT NAVAL DOCKYARD LIMITED CHARGES NAFRC GRADUANDS TO BE WORTHY AMBASSADORS

Officers Graduation

The Admiral Superintendent, Naval Dockyard Limited, Rear Admiral Ibrahim Shehu, has charged graduands of the Senior and Mid-Level Officers’ Entrepreneurship and Management Course 18/2026 to be worthy ambassadors of the Nigerian Armed Forces and the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC).

Rear Admiral Shehu who was the Special Guest of Honour gave the charge during the graduation ceremony held on Tuesday, 26 May 2026, at the NAFRC Resource Centre, Oshodi, Lagos. He described the programme as a vital platform for preparing military personnel for productive and self-reliant post-service life. He urged the graduands to apply the knowledge and skills acquired during the course towards promoting peace, national development, and economic growth in the country.

In his remarks, the Commandant of the Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre, Air Vice Marshal Nnaemeka Ilo, commended the participants for their commitment and resilience throughout the training period. He appreciated the support of the Chief of Defence Staff and Service Chiefs for their commitment to capacity-building initiatives within the Armed Forces. He also commended the management staff of NAFRC and the Empretec Nigeria Foundation, led by Her Excellency Mrs Onari Duke, for their contributions to the success of the programme.

Highlighting the training activities, the Director of Training, Brigadier General Isang Akpaumontia, disclosed that 17 officers successfully completed the course, which was organised in collaboration with the Empretec Nigeria Foundation and the Songhai Farming Community.

He explained that participants underwent intensive training in agriculture, emotional intelligence, business management, entrepreneurship, and leadership development through lectures, workshops, and study tours to notable organisations within and outside Nigeria.
