NAFRC Conducts First Route March Under AVM Mamman's Leadership

The Nigerian Armed Forces Resettlement Centre (NAFRC), Oshodi, Under the leadership of Air vice Marshal Bashir Mamman conducted its first route march, on Saturday, 22nd February 2025.
The exercise which commenced at 0600hrs, had officers, soldiers, corps members, and other members of the NAFRC community participating.
The route march, started from the sports complex and covered key points within the Centre, a gesture aimed to enhancing physical fitness among personnel and other participants.
Speaking to journalists, the NAFRC Commandant, AVM Mamman described the experience as exhilarating, noting that it was the best he had had since assuming office.
“As a training school, we do not engage in operations, so the only way we can keep fit is through exercises like this and range classification, which we will conduct soon,” the Commandant stated.
He emphasized that maintaining physical readiness is crucial for personnel, especially in case of future deployments.
AVM Mamman acknowledged the importance of physical fitness in military life, advising personnel to prioritize their well-being.
“As you grow older in service, your physical fitness becomes essential for your health and military duties. It keeps you mentally alert and physically capable,” he said.
He further revealed that the route march would be held twice a year to sustain the fitness levels of NAFRC personnel.
